How to Remove AdClick “Malware” Virus Removal

This page aims to help you remove AdClick. These AdClick removal instructions work for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, as well as every version from Windows 10 to XP.

Before you jump straight to the removal guide, you should take a moment and have a read about what exactly is AdClick “Virus” so as to be able to better determine whether what you have is, indeed, AdClick and not something else. We want to make it clear that AdClick “Vius” is Not a Virus but labeled as such by many users who are not properly informed. Users use different search terms around the world such as “como remover AdClick” and “como remover AdClick da area de trabalho”

What is AdClick “Virus” and what does it do?

AdClick is an adware – a programming code designed by its creators to promote advertisements. Again do take note that AdClick is not considered as a virus by security experts. On one hand, unlike a virus, which is malicious and will cause harm and damage to the PC user whereas adware, on the other hand, is harmless and poses no direct threat to the user.

AdClick might be able to track your browsing history and patterns, favorites and bookmarks. From this, AdClick will generate likely false, but believable advertisements that is tailor-made for your liking. These advertisements may be in the form of banners, boxes or pop-up ads, sometimes even appearing as a separate window; displaying coupons and money-saving deals. When confronted with such ads be very cautious! As stated above, these ads are tailor-made for you and is mainly about things that you are interested in. But bear in mind, these advertisements could be fake and will not be able to deliver what they promise!

What should I do when confronted with the ads?

When you encounter advertisements – be it banners, pop-ups or boxes – look for tell-tale signs at the bottom of the ads such as “Powered by AdClick”, “Brought to you by AdClick” etc. In such cases then, do not, at any cost, click on the advertisements! If you click on the advertisement, you will realize that it is a ploy to fool you and the so-called deals that it advertises do not exist at all. The websites that you are being directed to will, instead, allow more adwares to be downloaded onto your windows 10, thus creating even more advertisements. Instead, you should quickly close the advertisement.

Is there any other signs to identify AdClick?

Other than creating advertisements, AdClick is also capable of converting simple text into a hyperlink. In such cases then, you will notice that in a chunk of text, there is a seemingly innocuous word that is underlined and in blue – denoting that it is a hyperlink.

If you do notice such symptoms, do not click on the hyperlinked word: Firstly, since the word in itself is innocuous and of no importance, there is no sense in clicking it as it will not contribute any relevant and valuable information to your research. Secondly, clicking on the word will direct you to suspicious or insecure webpages that will, once again, allow for more adwares to be loaded onto your PC. The best thing you can do is to ignore the hyperlinks and at your next convenient moment, start the process of uninstalling AdClick.

The programming code for AdClick is applicable for all browsers – Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer – so switching browsers will not eliminate the problem in most cases. You’ll need to delete it yourself.

How did AdClick get into my PC?

You probably contracted the Adware through some illegal and free downloads. More often than not, AdClick is being bundled up with the free programs. It will then be stealthily installed onto your PC when you are installing said programs. This usually happens when you choose the “Automatic Installation” option instead of “Custom Installation” to avoid hassle.
